Tunde Akinsola Completes Cercle Brugge Move After Rise From Valiant FC.

Nigerian winger Tunde Akinsola, 23, has completed his transfer from Portuguese side AVS Futebol SAD to Belgian Pro League club Cercle Brugge, taking another major step in his growing European career. Akinsola has put pen to paper on a contract running until 2030, with the move giving the talented winger an opportunity to continue his development and compete at the highest level of Belgian footbal. The transfer is also a significant moment for Nigerian grassroots footbal, with Akinsola having previously featured for Valiant FC during the inaugural season of The Creative Championship (TCc) League. His journey is a reminder of the pathway available to young Nigerian players who emerge from the domestic grassroots scene and successfully make the transition to European football. From Valiant FC to Europe Before establishing himself in Europe, Akinsola was part of the Valiant FC setup in Nigeria. His performances and potential eventually earned him a move abroad as a teenager. He began his European journey in Sweden with Vasalund, before continuing his career in Spain, where he joined Real Valladolid. Akinsola went on to make his La Liga debut for Valladolid in May 2023 against Sevilla, a landmark moment in his career and another indication of the progress he had made since leaving Nigeria.
