The Nigeria Football Referees Association (NFRA) has charged referees and match officials appointed for the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season to strictly adhere to the Laws of the Game and competition rules.
The call was made by the Acting President of the NFRA, Sir Kelechi Mejuobi, in his message to referees ahead of the new NPFL season.
Mejuobi stressed that a proper understanding and consistent application of the Laws of the Game remain essential to the reform and development of Nigerian football, particularly with the league entering a new era under a new title sponsorship
