Beyond Limits Football Academy have announced the
appointment of Azeez Opeyemi as the new head
coach of the academy U-18 team.
Opeyemi takes over following the promotion of former
head coach Olumide Ajibolaade to the senior team,
Remo Stars, bringing a new chapter to the
development of the academy's young talents.
A UEFA C Licence holder, Opeyemi arrives with
valuable experience from across the Nigerian
grassroots and youth football scene.
He previously worked with Escolar before taking
charge of Imperial FC. He later joined Sporting Lagos
as an assistant coach during the club's promotion
campaign to the NPFL.
Opeyemi is known for his preference for attractive,
disciplined and purposeful football. During his time at
Escolar, he was part of the coaching team that
produced a strong TCC campaign, while his work
demonstrated his ability to develop young players and
establish a clear football philosophy.
He also has a unique history with Beyond Limits.
Three seasons ago, Opeyemi guided Imperial FC to
their first-ever Ogun State Federation Cup title after
efeating Beyond Limits in the final.
Now, years later, he returns to a different side of that
rivalry, this time tasked with leading the development
of Beyond Limits' next generation of players.
There is also a familiar connection between the
incoming and outgoing coaches.
